1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Medium Exporter, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.

2. Description of Service

Medium Exporter is a Chrome extension that allows users to export Medium articles and reading lists to Markdown and other formats. The core features are free; optional Pro features are unlocked with a one-time purchase as described below.

3. Pro License

Buying Medium Exporter Pro grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use license to the Pro features of the extension, tied to the email address used at purchase. You may activate it on any number of your own devices or browsers by re-entering that email. The license is not for resale or sharing; the license check flags bulk or abusive use.

4. Purchases and Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by our payment processor, acting as merchant of record. The billing relationship (tax, receipts, refunds, and chargebacks) is governed by the processor's terms of sale and privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.

5. Permitted Use

You may use Medium Exporter to:

• Export articles you have legal access to read
• Create personal backups of content
• Convert articles for personal research and study
• Use exported content in compliance with Medium's terms and copyright law

6. Prohibited Use

You may NOT use Medium Exporter to:

• Violate copyright laws or Medium's terms of service
• Export content for commercial redistribution without permission
• Bypass paywalls or access restrictions
• Run automated mass-scraping beyond the extension's intended personal backup/export use
• Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the extension
• Use the extension for any illegal purposes

7. Content Rights

The extension exports content you already have access to on Medium. You are responsible for respecting Medium's Terms of Service and the copyright of the content you export. We make no claim on exported content: it stays on your computer.

• You retain ownership of content you legally export
• Original Medium authors retain rights to their content
• Medium Exporter code and branding are our intellectual property

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• No Warranty: The extension is provided "as is". Browsers and Medium's site change constantly; we fix breakage in good time but do not guarantee uninterrupted function of any specific feature.
• Liability Cap: Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid ($1.99).
• Third-Party Content: We are not responsible for Medium's content or policies
• Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted service

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices. For free use we do not collect, store, or transmit personal data; Pro activation sends only the email address you paid with.

10. Refunds

Medium Exporter Pro is refundable for 14 days after purchase, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy.

11. Updates and Changes

• We may update the extension and these terms at any time
• Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms
• Major changes will be communicated through the Chrome Web Store

12. Termination

• You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it
• We may discontinue the service at any time
• These terms survive termination where applicable
